Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir expressed his deepest sympathy towards the families of victims of gruesome murders, believed to have been committed by a family of four in Tapah.
He said the state government took a serious view of the case and did not want such brutal incidents to become rampant in Perak.
"We hope the police will continue their duties until all motives of the murders can be identified and eventually solve this case," he said at a press conference after chairing the weekly state executive council meeting here.
The gruesome murders of at least four people were uncovered when police raided a heavy vehicle workshop in Jalan Pahang here on Oct 26 after receiving a report on the missing of a man on Aug 25.
The victims was believed to have been murdered before their bodies were torched to ashes and dumped in the nearby Ceroh river.
Police believed three other missing individuals had also become the victims of the suspects.
