Actress and model Zarina Anjoulie Mohamad Fahizul managed to secure bail today, which was posted by her stepsister.
She was released around 10am by the Magistrate's Court, here, and her case will be re-mentioned on Feb 8.
The 27-year-old accused had been in remand for two days at the Kajang Prison as her family had failed to post bail after she was charged and claimed trial in court on Wednesday with possession of two eramin 5 pills weighing 0.6gm.
She allegedly committed the offence with a private college student, Mohamad Fakhruzaim Mohamad Fawzi, 27, at a housing unit in Jalan PJU 10/1C, Damansara Damai, here, at 5.30pm on Dec 30, 2012.
The charge under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 carries a jail term not exceeding five years or a fine of up to RM100,000, or both, upon conviction.
Magistrate Nazri Omran had allowed bail of RM2,000 each solely by family members but only Mohamad Fakhruzaim's family managed to post bail for him.
