The UMNO Youth on Tuesday alleged three former top government officials were involved in a conspiracy to topple Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
They are former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed, former Bank Negara Malaysia governor Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz and former attorney-general Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail.
Umno Youth vice-chief Khairul Azwan Harun said he has named the three individuals in a police report, claiming that they have either individually or collectively conspired to bring down Najib as the Prime Minister and the legitimate Malaysian government.
"I have valid reasons to believe these individuals have provided confidential information and documents to the agencies in the United States, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
"These information and documents were given to foreign parties without valid approval from the relevant Malaysian authorities, including the Attorney-General’s Chambers, and a big part of the information was designed, falsified and twisted with ill intent,” he said.
Khairul Azwan said this when met by reporters after lodging the report at the Dang Wangi Police Station here today.
He said, the report is not without basis, while asking the police to investigate the matter immediately.
Meanwhile, Dang Wangi police chief Assistant Commissioner Zainol Samah confirmed receiving the report.
