Firemen hold special prayers simultaneously for victims of MH17 this Friday

The ceremony to receive the remains of the MH17 victims would be held at the Bunga Raya Complex at the KL International Airport (KLIA), Sepang, on Friday.
The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) will hold special prayers simultaneously throughout the country at 8am this Friday in conjunction with the ceremony to receive the remains of the MH17 tragedy.
Minister of Urban Well-Being, Housing and Local Government, Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan said 13,539 of the department's Muslim staff would participate in the ceremony.
It would involve the JBPM head office, 16 state offices, 271 stations and five of the department's academies throughout the country, he said in a statement issued at a session between the minister and JBPM personnel, here Wednesday night.
The ceremony to receive the remains of the MH17 victims would be held at the Bunga Raya Complex at the KL International Airport (KLIA), Sepang, on Friday.
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah is expected to be present at the ceremony which will also be attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, cabinet ministers, menteris besar and chief ministers as well as families of the victims.
Meanwhile, commenting on the accident at the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT) construction site yesterday, Abdul Rahman said the MRTCo and Prasarana Negara should work with the local authorities at the sites and the LRT project to improve monitoring and surveillance.
In the incident last Monday, three Bangladeshi construction workers died after a 650-tonne concrete span collapsed at the MRT construction site near the former Rubber Research Institute in Kota Damansara at 8.30pm.
