A photographer with the New Straits Times was assaulted while covering the final rites for three MH17 victims, today.
A family member of the MH17 Paul Goes, wife Subashni Jretnam and daughter Kaela Maya Jay Goes, suddenly attacked photographers and cameramen covering the ceremony where the bodies were being carried out of the hearse at Nirvana Memorial Park, Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur.
The man tried to punch several media personnel covering the event and hit the New Straits Times (NST) photographer Mohd Aizuddin Akmal Saad. He suffered injuries on his face and nose.

The situation returned to normal after media personnel were ordered to leave and go into the memorial centre.
The remains were brought to the Nirwana Memorial park after their bodies were received at the Bunga Raya Complex, KLIA earlier this morning.
The bodies which arrived at 10.45am were received by family members.
The three remains will be kept at the memorial park for the time being until a date to be announced later for their burial.
