MH17: Sultan of Perak pays last respect

The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah and consort, Tuanku Zara Salim Davidson paid their last respects to the First Officer of flight MH17 Muhammad Firdaus Abdul Rahim , when his body arrived at the Speedy Teluk Intan field at about 10.15am today.
Also present were Perak Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir and wife Datin Seri Saripah Zulkipli who escorted the royal couple.
Teluk Intan member of Parliament Datuk Mah Siew Keong, state excos and government department heads were also present.
The body of Muhammad Firdaus was flown in using an army helicopter from Bunga Raya Complex, KLIA, was received by his grieving family members.
His coffin was carried out of the helicopter by Regiment 503 members followed by Al-Fatihah recital.
A minute silence was also observed as a sign of respect before the body was brought to Al Naim mosque for its final rites. The body was later brought to the Muslim cemetery at Jalan Merbuk, Teluk Intan for burial.
