The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) denied reports by CNN which stated that it (RMAF) had scrambled search aircrafts to find the Malaysia Airlines (MAS) MH370 aircraft which disappeared on March 8.
It also reported that the Department of Civil Aviations were only informed of the search three days later.
RMAF chief General Tan Sri Rodzali Daud in a statement said "In my capacity as chief of the Royal Malaysian Air Force, I can confirm that the allegation is totally false".
CNN on Thursday through its website quoted a senior Malaysian official as saying that RMAF had dispatched its aircraft before receiving data from authorities showing that the aircraft (MH370) had turned back westward.
“A source involved in the investigation informed CNN that the airforce had not informed the Department of Civil Aviation or the Search and Rescue mission teams until three days later, on March 11,” added the statement.
