Pralhad Shirsath, whose wife Kranti Shirsath is one of the passengers on the missing flight MH370, has written another open letter and this time dedicated to the leaders of the world as well as media leaders and owners including journalists.
The open letter published today on The Malaysian Insider stated his frustration over the shattered dreams he is now facing due to the mysteries that unfold before him and his family, due to the incompetency of the Malaysian government and authority in handling the plight of the missing plane.
Pralhad urged for a speedy, transparent and trustworthy investigation by the Malaysian authorities and for other nations affected to take charge, and pressure the urgency of obtaining credible information to be disseminated to all involved.
“I urge you to request the Malaysian authorities for a speedy, transparent and trustworthy investigation. I desperately want the truth about where my wife is, what has happened to her and all the passengers and what caused the plane to disappear”
In the letter, he also expressed doubts over the preliminary report developed by the Malaysian government.
"Despite taking eight weeks to prepare the preliminary report, it has failed to address fundamental questions such as how flight MH370 has disappeared without a trace in this modern world, who is behind its disappearance, what was the motive behind its disappearance, why did the Malaysian authorities fail to track their plane and delay the commencement of the search and rescue operation?"
"The report has increased more doubts in my mind and in the minds of many other family members around the world which suggests that there is some serious cover-up going on."
His first open letter, published on May 3 on The Malaysian Insider, was written for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak. Like his second letter, he shared his disappointment over the preliminary report on the missing MH370 that took 55 days to develop, only to create more questions and doubts in the heart and minds of the people affected especially the families of passengers on board the MH370.
His first open letter also demanded for truths and answers from the Malaysian as to lighten the burden weighed upon the shoulders of those greatly affected.
“So, Mr Prime Minister, I wish to ask you, what kind of investigation are you talking about and why you do not want to tell us, after 55 days that our loved ones are missing?
"What is that which is so sensitive that may hamper the investigation and that is more important than the lives of the passengers and crew on board flight MH370 and the lives of all those relatives who have been suffering for the past 55 days?
"Please let us know what different theories you are investigating and what is the progress made so far? Earlier, it was said that a criminal investigation has been initiated. So what is that about, that you are suspecting the most and what progress has been made in the last 55 days?
"Also, you said that the plane was deliberately diverted. So who ordered to divert the plane and why?”
Pralhad's 44-year-old wife, a former chemistry lecturer from Pune, India is one of the 239 passengers on board the missing Boeing 777. The couple have been married for 18 years, with two sons aged 13 and 11.
Kranti was on her way to visit Pralhad when the unfortunate event occurred.
