She is a beautiful, confident and animated woman. Expressive as she attempts to make a point and whenever she recounts a story of the day.
She showed me how to love others and how to love them well. She approaches life from a position of abundance, always willing to share her knowledge and resources to not only her family and friends but at times, strangers.
When she laughs, she laughs heartily. She has one of the warmest laughs. Naturally, I inherited, or rather, modeled my laughter after hers - a booming sort of laugh from the bottom of our hearts.
Raising a child can be expensive and demanding. She has sacrificed so much in order to give me a better life than she had when she was young.
When life became a little too tough to handle, she guided and comforted me. She inculcated a strong sense of responsibility in me, which helped shape my character, and see to it that I learn to stay true to myself and others.
A lover of books, she cultivated a thirst for knowledge in me at an early age. We find comfort through reading and discussing ideas. We have had countless debates in the past, and each of the debates helped me understand better that there is no one definite way to define this world.
She lives up to the motto of lifelong learning and has shown great interest in acquiring new knowledge as she aged.
She is definitely a people-person, for she loves to interact with and talk to people. She understands that each and everyone who she crosses path in this journey we call life, all bring with them bits and pieces of a puzzle to understand the world.
She is the woman I proudly call mom, who taught me how to be a woman, and more importantly, how to be a human who amplifies the good.
There were times when I was unreasonable and inconsiderate. Still, she loved me anyway, and for that, I am forever grateful.
We may not agree on everything, but she understands, respects and supports my ambition. Without her, I would not have come this far. I am who I am today because of the foundation she tirelessly built for me as I took my first step as a toddler that many years ago.
She is the bravest and strongest woman I have the privilege to know in my lifetime. She is my best friend and will always be. Thank you mom for all the support and for believing in me. Together we shall continue this adventure and to unravel the greatest mystery of all: Life.
