TENGKU ADNAN: Based on the partys constitution, there is still room to voice opinions.
No action would be taken against the 14 Kedah UMNO division chiefs as their views was voiced out based on the party’s constitution, said UMNO secretary general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.
“They are not demanding for the state liaison chief to resign.
“Their dissatisfaction was voiced and the decision would be left to the leadership,” said Tengku Adnan.
He added that their actions are unlike several branch leaders who urged for the party president Datuk Seri Najib Razak to step down.
“Based on the party’s constitution, there is still room to voice opinions but it should be done the proper way,” said Tengku Adnan after launching the Kayuhan Cinta Malaysia event at Putrajaya this morning.
Meanwhile, when asked about the details of the meeting between Najib and several Kedah UMNO division chiefs on Friday, he refused to comment on the matter.
“I was not involved. How will I know the details?
“However I am confident that the Prime Minister will look into the opinions voiced out by the division chiefs and the decision would be announced soon,” said Tengku Adnan.
