Former Selangor Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim and PKR Secretary-General, Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail agreed to resolve their suit out of court.
PKR vice president Rafizi Ramli said the issue was resolved after both sides took into account the peoples' interests, especially against the country’s current political crisis.
“Abdul Khalid has retracted the suit and Saifuddin and KEADILAN had apologised to Khalid.
“Abdul Khalid also apologised to Saifuddin and KEADILAN.
“The agreement was made and filed in court as per the attached court document,” said Rafizi in a post on PKR’s Facebook today.
The suit was filed at the Shah Alam High Court Registrar Office on August 18, 2014 in relation to the distribution of a report titled “The Decision to Replace the Selangor menteri Besar” dated August 4, 2014 that allegedly defamed him.
The document was alleged to have been issued as PKR’s effort to discredit Khalid as the Selangor Menteri Besar at that time which cited Khalid’s out-of-court settlement with Bank Islam.
However, on September 21, 2014, Abdul Khalid was removed from his post as the Selangor Menteri Besar.
