PKR Taman Medan state assemblywoman Haniza Talha accused former Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim to be the reason for the water issues in the state.
“During Khalid's tenure as MB from 2008 to 2014, he did not solve the water issue and yet has the nerve to critisise the current MB for not doing so,” she said in a statement today.
Throwing her support behind Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali, Haniza said the MB is now forced to pick up on all the unresolved issues ‘due to Khalid’s incompetence’.
The Wanita PKR deputy chief also said Abdul Khalid’s call for Mohamed Azmin’s resignation similar to former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed’s call for Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s resignation.
“This copycat move surely cannot sway the public's good opinion of YAB Azmin Ali but has instead shown how petty and unreasonable the ex-MB can be,” she said.
Reminding Abdul Khalid that he won the Port Klang and Bandar Tun Razak seats under the PKR ticket, she said he should vacant the seats if he had any conscience.
On Sunday, Abdul Khalid accused Mohamed Azmin of deliberately stalling the process of taking over the state’s four water concessionaires.
He said Mohamed Azmin should work on the water restructuring process or quit his MB post to allow another person to work on the issue.
