All Bersatu, PAS assemblymen called to the palace, Sultan Nazrin needs to be convinced on majority

IPOH:The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah has ordered all State Assemblymen (ADUN) from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) and PAS to appear before him today.

Perak Senate Member, Datuk Seri Annuar Zaini said Sultan Nazrin needs to be convinced first before deciding on the individual who will be the 14th Menteri Besar of Perak.

The order was made by Sultan Nazrin after UMNO President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had an audience with His Highness this morning.

“His Highness receives the latest information and status from what is presented.

“His Highness needs to be convinced that the matter presented must be proven first.

“Therefore, His Highness has further ordered all Bersatu and PAS assemblymen to appear before him at any time today.

"The swearing-in ceremony for the Menteri Besar will be held only after His Highness is convinced that there is a simple majority to establish the Perak State Government," he said when met by the media at the Istana Kinta compound here on Tuesday.

Asked whether Pakatan Harapan Perak assemblymen were also called to the palace, Annuar said currently only Bersatu and PAS ADUNs were ordered to do so.
