Amanah to announce candidates for by-elections on Wednesday

Parti Amanah Negara (AMANAH) will announce its candidates for Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar by-elections on Wednesday.
"Mat Sabu (AMANAH president Mohamad Sabu) and Nizar (Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin) are among those listed as possible candidates," said AMANAH communications director Khalid Abdul Samad.
He said the AMANAH candidates for Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar seats need not be necessarily be limited to those born in the two constituencies.
Polling for the by-elections will be held on June 18 while nomination will be set on June 5.
The seats fell vacant following the death of Sungai Besar MP Datuk Noriah Kasnon and Kuala Kangsar MP Datuk Wan Mohammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad in a helicopter crash in Sebuyau, Sarawak, on May 5.
