KUALA LUMPUR:All 11 MPs from Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) have filed a motion of no-confidence against Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

The matter was confirmed by the Vice President of Amanah, Datuk Mahfuz Omar to Astro AWANI on Friday evening.

“All Amanah MPs have filed the motion. We finished everything this afternoon," he said.

The latest statement also showed that Amanah President, Mohamad Sabu and his deputy, Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub also participated in filing the motion.

As of 10 am on Friday, four MPs from the independent bloc had submitted a letter related to the motion.

They consist of Langkawi MP Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Kubang Pasu MP Datuk Amiruddin Hamzah, Simpang Renggam MP Dr Maszlee Malik and Jerlun MP Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir.

All of them are the founders of Parti Pejuang Tanah Airku (Pejuang).

Last Wednesday, Gua Musang MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah urged that the motion brought by Dr Mahathir should be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat.

The matter was revealed by Tengku Razaleigh through a letter he sent to Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun on September 25.
