Anina Saadudin loses UMNO membership

Langkawi UMNO member Anina Saadudin has lost her UMNO membership effective September 2, following her actions that violated Clause 20.7 of the UMNO Constitution.
UMNO Secretary General Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said in a statement said, Clause 20.7 of the Umno constitution which states that any party member who brings party affairs to the court will immediately lose their membership.
He said Anina's action in bringing the matter to court, has resulted in her automatically losing her membership.
Last week, Anina who is from the UMNO Kampung Padang Matsirat branch, had filed a suit against UMNO President Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, over the RM2.6 billion political donation.
She filed the civil suit in her capacity as an UMNO member and also on behalf of the ruling party.
The suit was filed at the Kuala Lumpur Hight Court through Messrs Haniff Khatri.
