Annuar Musa sacked as BN secretary-general

KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Annuar Musa has been sacked as Barisan Nasional (BN) secretary-general effective immediately.

UMNO sources disclosed that the decision was made by BN Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in a meeting here on Tuesday.

Annuar, who is also Member of the UMNO Supreme Council (MKT), had previously stated he was ready to be sacked from the party if his criticism on the issue of unification of the Malays and Islam were not liked by the members and grassroot leaders of the party.
