PAS former information chief Datuk Mahfuz Omar has suggested for the Selangor state assembly to be dissolved should its administration issues fail to be resolved.

He also urged for the Selangor Menteri Besar, Mohamed Azmin Ali to make a choice between PAS and DAP as his ally for his administration.

“The Selangor Menteri Besar must make his stand on whether to choose one of the parties (PAS or DAP) to be his ally for the administration of Selangor,” said the Pokok Sena MP at the Parliament lobby today.

He said there is no possibility that Selangor will establish a three party government as this means that PAS and DAP will continue to cooperate.

Mahfuz added that if a decision has been taken by PKR, then one of the parties – PAS or DAP – has to respectively step back.

“The one that steps back does not mean it does not support the government. It can be a government-friendly party,” he said.

Meanwhile, commenting further on the dissolution of the state assembly, Mahfuz said that the decision depends on Azmin.

He added that with the dissolution of the Selangor state assembly, any administrative issues which may befall the assembly can be resolved.

“If this is the case, just dissolve it. Return the mandate to the people. But I love this government as it is based on a big mandate,” he added.

When asked if PAS would cooperate with Barisan Nasional (BN), Mahfuz said if this happens, then this spells a bigger disaster for PAS.

The Selangor state assembly has 56 seats of wich 15 s held by DAP, 15 PAS, 13 PKR, 12 BN and one Independant.
