Azmin declines to reveal his 'shadow' exco line-up
MOHAMED AZMIN: PKR must first obtain the agreement of DAP and PAS before the Selangor State Exco line-up can be revealed
Newly appointed Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali today declined to disclose his shadow exco line-up until Friday.
He said this was because Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) must obtain the agreement of its coalition partners, namely the DAP and PAS.
"It is not fair for me to disclose the details of the discussions, because this involves all the three parties, not PKR alone," he said when met by reporters at the PKR headquarters, here.
Yesterday, Mohamed Azmin was sworn-in as the new Selangor Menteri Besar in place of Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
He will have an audience with the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah to get his consent for the appointment of the Selangor State Exco members.
He said the first meeting on the candidates for the Exco line-up was held yesterday while the second stage would be held tomorrow.
Asked on the response of the coalition partners, Mohamed Azmin, who is also PKR deputy president, said although the PAS top leadership was busy in preparation for the by-election for the Pengkalan Kubor state seat, he was always in communication on the list of Exco members and the final decision would be made tomorrow.
