'Azmin's appointment proves Malaysia's political maturity'
YUSMADI: Mohamed Azmin's appointment proves that Malaysians are matured enough to accept change
The appointment of Bukit Antarabangsa assemblyman, Mohamed Azmin Ali as the Selangor Menteri Besar yesterday is proof of the country’s political maturity, said PKR International Bureau chairman Yusmadi Yusoff.
He believed that Mohamed Azmin’s appointment as MB would spur Pakatan Rakyat to reunite.
"The conflict in the appointment of the new Selangor menteri besar touches on two major issues -- legality and diplomacy.
"However, this is the first time such a conflict was resolved with diplomacy by the monarch, and that shows the country's political maturity as well as the people's maturity in accepting change," he said during an interview on AWANI745 yesterday.
The former Balik Pulau MP added that the appointment of Mohamed Azmin, who is PKR deputy president, brings a new hope to Pakatan.
