Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU) has no intention of re-joining Pakatan Harapan and has never discussed the matter.
Its Information Chief, Dr Radzi Jidin, said the BERSATU Supreme Council (MPT) on February 23, 2020 had decided to leave Pakatan Harapan and no longer had any co-operation with the coalition.
"BERSATU would like to emphasize that the statement by Datuk Seri Utama Mukhriz Mahathir urging BERSATU members to re-engage with Pakatan Harapan is his personal stance and does not reflect the party's official stand.
“Any attempt to bring BERSATU to cooperate with Pakatan Harapan is contrary to the party's official decision.
"BERSATU also wants to emphasize that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has no authority to sign the Joint Statement with Pakatan Harapan, BERSATU and the Parti Warisan Sabah dated May 4, 2020 and that this is an act contrary to the party's stand," he said in a statement on Thursday.
He was responding to the statements issued by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Parti Amanah Negara president Mohamad Sabu which appeared to give the impression that Bersatu was keen to rejoin PH.
Dr Radzi who is also Education Minister reminded any dissenting member including intentionally joining other parties who were in conflict with the party's stand, would cause his membership to be dropped immediately in accordance with Clause 10.2.3 of the BERSATU Constitution.
"It is the responsibility of each party member to always abide by the decisions made by the party and to implement the party's policies," he said.
At the same time, he said each member should always adhere to the formal stance of the party that has been collectively created in a manner and channels consistent with the party constitution.
