MUSA: The state government has implemented various development programmes which benefitted the people.
The Barisan Nasional (BN) government is proven to be always concerned to ensure development reach the people even in the interiors of Sabah.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said the state government had implemented various development programmes which benefitted the people, specifically the poor.
"This is our deed as leaders, as ministers, as government servants and willing to come together to listen to the development briefings of every district and finding out the problems they are facing.
"If possible, we will immediately solve the problems or we will ensure the area is assisted to ensure development is not held up," he told reporters after ending his working visit to the lower interior of Sabah here today.
Musa also reminded the people to not be influenced by the political agenda of the opposition who also want to enjoy a comfortable life.
According to Musa, the government found it difficult to tackle problems faced by areas represented by the opposition due to the refusal of their elected representatives to seek help from the government administered by BN.
"The opposition never come to see me (to ask for help). I don't know if they don't want to see me or they are shy. So, it is a loss if an area is represented by the opposition because its elected representative is not efficient in requesting for assistance," he said.
Musa started his visit at Pagalungan in the Sabah lower interior and handed over 330 communal grants to the residents in the area involving 3,480 ha of land.
He ended his visit at Sepulut near here to hand over keys to houses developed by the Sabah Housing and Town Development Board (LPPB) to 33 heads of hardcore poor households at the Kampung Labang Sejahtera Mini Estate which grew oil palm. -- Bernama
