A meeting between Barisan Nasional (BN) state assemblymen and members of the Kedah Regency Council is expected to take place Monday - believed to be related to the political feud involving the position of Datuk Seri Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir as Menteri Besar.
Several state assemblymen had been notified of meeting which will be held at Wisma Darul Aman in Alor Setar at 2pm tomorrow.
Bernama reported that a state assemblyman, who has requested anonymity -- said he was notified about the meeting via short messaging application, WhatsApp but declined to comment further about the matter.
"No letters ... but I've received the message to be present at the meeting tomorrow," he told Bernama today.
Another assemblyman said he received the message after being contacted by an officer from Wisma Darul Aman.
A state assemblyman confirmed his attendance adding that they have been summoned to meet the council one by one.
The political climate in Kedah has reached its 'boiling point' when Mukhriz came under pressure from Kedah UMNO state assemblymen and MPs as well as senior state party leaders, headed by Kedah UMNO Liaison Committee deputy chairman Datuk Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah.
