Datin Mastura Mohd Yazid, the Barisan Nasional candidate for the Kuala Kangsar parliamentary by-election, voted at the polling centre at Sekolah Kebangsaan Raja Perempuan Muzwin here.
Mastura, 55, arrived at the polling centre at 8.30am. She was accompanied by Datin Seri Hamidah Khamis, wife of the Deputy Prime Minister.
Also with her was her mother-in-law Rahmah Abdullah and two of her sons - Wan Iskandar Wan Mohammad Khair-il Anuar and Wan Muhammad Amar.
Mastura, attired in a black robe, lined up and chatted with other voters at the third stream and completed voting at 8.38am.
The Kuala Kangsar by-election is being held following the death of the MP and Mastura's husband, Datuk Wan Mohammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad, in a helicopter crash in Sarawak on May 5.
It is a four-cornered fight among Mastura, Dr Najihatussalehah Ahmad of PAS, Prof Dr Ahmad Termizi Ramli of Amanah and Izat Bukhary Ismail Bukhary, an Independent candidate.
The three other candidates are voters registered elsewhere.
A total of 23 polling centres, which will be open from 8am to 5pm, have been set up in the constituency which has 32,949 voters, 312 of whom are early voters and five, absentee (overseas) voters.
