Barisan Nasional secured a simple majority of 42 seats in the Sarawak election to return to power for an 11th straight term as counting of votes continue for more constituencies.
The opposition has six seats so far, DAP four and PKR two.
Among the early winners declared was Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem defending Tanjung Batu with 6,360 votes for a 5,892 majority over sole rival Jazolkipli Numan (PKR) who polled 468 votes and lost his deposit.

Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) president Tan Sri James Jemut Masing retained the Baleh seat defeating Agop Linsong by 4,793 votes.
BN won two seats, Bukit Sari and Bukit Kota, unopposed on nomination day. In 2011, BN won 55 of 71 seats, DAP 15, PKR three, and independent one.
