Suspended PKR member Badrul Hisham Shahrain today revealed the names of five Pakatan Rakyat state assembly members who signed a letter of oath, withdrawing their support for Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as the state's Mentri Besar.
Badrul, also known as Chegubard said, out of the the five assemblymen, three were from PKR and two from DAP.
They signed the letter of oath on Sept 11, just days after expressing their support for Wan Azizah to be appointed as the Selangor Menteri Besar.
He alleged that the five were Dr Xavier Jayakumar (PKR-Sri Andalas), Shuhaimi Shafie (PKR-Sri Muda), Amirudin Shari (PKR-Batu Caves), Ng Sze Han (DAP-Kinrara) dan Rajiv Rishyakaran (DAP-Bukit Gasing).
"I have made a police report to verify the letter of oath from the five assemblymen," he said at a press conference today.
"The letter of oath clearly stated the five Selangor assemblymen who initially expressed their support for Wan Azizah and then withdrew their support,” he added.
He said copies of the declaration were received on Nov 1 and has been submitted to the President and PKR Disciplinary Committee but until now there has been no further action.
"Is PKR adopting two sets of laws? For those who disobey the party, they would be suspended and fired. But for certain groups, they are protected,“ he asked.
No action has been taken against the five Selangor PKR assemblymen even though they withdrew their support for Wan Azizah for the Selangor Menteri Besar post, said Badrul.
PKR suspended Badrul from the party for issuing statements on the party to the media.
Meanwhile, Astro AWANI’s efforts to get Batu Caves assemblyman Amirudin Shari’s comments were futile.
