Former Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Rembau division chief Badrul Hisham Shaharin, also known as Chegubard, has questioned the 'special treatment' received by PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali within the party.
Citing his own situation when he was suspended from the party for exposing Azmin’s misconduct, the Selangor Menteri Besar is more favoured given that they were in a similar situation.
“I answered the allegations with the media and was suspended. When a lower-ranked member uses the media, it is considered wrong.
“However when Azmin uses the media to attack PKR President Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail... no actions were taken.
“If action is taken against me, please take action against Azmin first,” he said in a press conference on Thursday.
Chegurbard, who is also the chairman of the Youth Solidarity Malaysia (SAMM), previous held various positions in the party including PKR central leadership council member and Keadilan youth wing exco.
Meanwhile, he said that the Selangor MB fiasco started from Azmin himself.
“He has been dreaming of that position, he started the sentiment to question the previous Menteri Besar’s administration.
“Azmin uses the media and made a personal attack against PKR de factor leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and lobbied for the position,” he said.
In other developments, Chegubard also asked Azmin to explain the withdrawal of support of five Pakatan Rakyat state assembly members for Wan Azizah.
“They had pulled back their support and apparently pledged loyalty to whoever was chosen by the Selangor Sultan.
"So the question arises, who prepared the statutory declaration and lobbied Azmin for the MP post?” asked Chegubard.
