Claims about plot to topple Wan Azizah malicious - Azmin

Claims that there is a plot to topple PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail is malicious, said PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali.

Mohamed Azmin, who is also Selangor Menteri Besar, said this was a lie spread by individuals who are bankrupt of ideas.

"Matters discussed in our party must not be disclosed to the media. The claims are malicious and defamatory," he told reporters after opening Selangor Digital Creative Centre at I-City, here today.

Mohamed Azmin said this when asked to comment on a statement by former Rembau PKR division chief Badrul Hisham Shaharin (Chegubard) yesterday claiming that PKR senior leaders plan to topple Wan Azizah.

Badrul Hisham, in his blog (http://chegubard.blogspot.my), had claimed that the group masterminded by several senior leaders, were unhappy with Wan Azizah for announcing PKR's membership in a new Opposition coalition on Sept 22.
