Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal has denied allegations that he had conspired with the Yang Dipertua Negeri, Tun Juhar Mahiruddin to dissolve the State Legislative Assembly (DUN).
He stressed that he had instructed the state attorney-general to take legal action on the allegations made by some parties.
"That is slander and I have asked the state attorney-general to take legal action.
"When I met TYT (Tun Juhar), there were some elected representatives (Deputy Chief Ministers Datuk Christina Liew and Datuk Jaujan Sambakong as well as Sindumin assemblyman Datuk Dr Yusof Yacob) with me. The state attorney-general was also present.
"I was just giving advice to His Excellency (Tun Juhar), never did I give anything and I have no right to dissolve (the State Legislative Assembly) because in the Constitution, it is very clear.
"I cannot comment further because it is a court case at this time," he said at a press conference here on Saturday.
Asked about the logo that will be used in the Sabah State Election (PRN), Shafie said the Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) and its allies were still holding further discussions before any decision is made.
"We will see this logo later and I will not set a logo that should be used. This is because the people do not judge based on the logo, but they will see what is right in their hearts," he said.
Mohd Shafie had earlier attended the Handover Ceremony of the Kg Tanjung Batu Otentik Fire Victim Settlement Lot and the Handover of Tawau and Kalabakan District Land Grants here on Saturday.
On August 5, a non-governmental organisation lodged a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on allegations of corruption and abuse of power against Tun Juhar who allegedly received an inducement to dissolve the Sabah DUN.
