An opposition assemblyman was ordered out of the Perak legislative assembly today for interrupting the debate session.
Wong Kah Woh (DAP-Canning) was ordered to leave by Speaker Datuk Seri S.K. Devamany after he kept on interrupting Salbiah Mohamed (BN-Temengor).
He had been angered when Salbiah brushed aside an opposition allegation that flood aid had been denied to the Orang Asli in Tasik Temengor. She maintained that the opposition did not get its facts right.
Devamany said he had to order Wong out of the house for today because he kept interrupting Salbiah repeatedly even after he was advised against doing so.
He said Wong would be referred to the rights and privileges committee over his behaviour.
Salbiah told reporters outside the house that there was no truth to the opposition's claim that aid was denied to the Orang Asli.
"Tasik Temengor is my area. I know what is needed (by the people there) and the state government has done whatever is necessary," she said.
She said the opposition should get its facts right.
