DAP need not question Abdul Hadi's absence - Nik Aziz

PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat today slammed the DAP for questioning why PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang did not turn up for Pakatan Rakyat (PR)Presidential Council meetings.

He said this should not have happened as Abdul Hadi would have his reasons.

"Did he (Abdul Hadi) not attend because he is lazy or sick? He is ill. Why force a person who is ill to attend meetings.

"This is the work of stupid people (questioning Abdul Hadi's absence)," he told reporters when met at his house in Pulau Melaka here.

Prior to this, the the DAP's Central Executive Committee had passed a resolution to pressure Abdul Hadi to attend the said meetings.

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng had said Abdul Hadi should attend the meetings to ensure PR, made up of DAP, PKR and PAS, could move ahead and gain the confidence of voters.

The call came after Abdul Hadi failed to attend the meetings the past few months.
