DAP's Bukit Assek assemblyman dies
Wong has been suffering from brain cancer since last year.
Bukit Assek state assemblyman Wong Ho Leng passed away in Sibu at 11pm last night.
State DAP chairman Chong Chien Jen, who is also Kuching MP, confirmed Wong's death when contacted by Bernama.
"Wong died at 11pm. That is about the only information I can provide. You have to contact the family member for more details," said Chong.
Wong, who was the former state DAP chairman, has been suffering from brain cancer since last year.
He had returned to Sibu recently but remained in coma.
