Kuala Krai MP Dr Hatta Ramli admitted that he is no longer with PAS and rejected any allegations or speculations about bai'ah (oath of allegiance) towards him.
He stressed that he did not want to be associated with the issue and demanded the question to be addressed to PAS members only.
"I'm with the other party currently. That question can be asked to PAS members.
"I do not know anything about it because I'm no longer with PAS," he said when contacted here today.
Dr Hatta said that when commenting on the request of the PAS deputy spiritual leader, Datuk Ahmad Yakob who asked him to refer to the Kelantan Syariah High Court on the issue of “triple talak” (immediate divorce) condition which he announced in the previous general election (GE).
Ahmad said, the taklik pronouncement made by Dr Hatta has been effected, thus his relationship with his wife is void.
Earlier, PAS Rantau Panjang chief, Abdul Fatah Harun said any parliamentarian and state assemblymen in Kelantan PAS who are thinking of leaving the party to join Gerakan Harapan Baru (GHB) are reminded to refer back to their promises to divorce their wives with the triple talak.
He said said the bai'ah is not a new thing and has long been practised in the party, especially in Kelantan, where all elected representatives undertake an oath before the PAS Commissioner.
