An UMNO delegate today urged members not to provide any 'ammunition' to the opposition to shoot and destroy the party.
Datuk Shahaniza Shamsuddin from Pahang said party members should in fact be with UMNO president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his team in resolving party disputes and strengthening UMNO.
"Let's remedy the situation. Don't wait until it's too late. We must get people to trust that UMNO is still their hope," she said.
She said this while debating the president's policy speech on the second day of the UMNO General Assembly 2015 at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here today.
Shahaniza, who is also Maran UMNO deputy chief opined, what was important now was finding a common ground to clear the negativity surrounding the party.
Meanwhile, Wanita UMNO representative Noraslina Zainal Abidin from Johor also urged party members as "one big family" to find a point of understanding and reach a consensus.
The Sembrong Wanita UMNO chief in a 'pantun' called for the party leadership to "make peace with each other".
