Don't look up to DAP as if they are 'wali' - Hadi Awang
ABDUL HADI: They can be friends with DAP, but they cannot come under the patronage of DAP because neither the party has faith nor noble quality.
PAS President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang reminded party members not to look up to DAP as their 'wali' or patron.
He said only the true members of PAS, who are aware of Islamic struggle and virtues, would be able to see the difference between a friend and a patron.
"They can be friends with DAP, but they cannot come under the patronage of DAP because neither the party has faith nor noble quality," he said in a statement titled 'To Whom It May Concern: PAS Only' on Thursday.
The statement came as a response to the move taken by several PAS leaders, led by former PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu, who had set up the new Gerakan Harapan Baharu (GHB), which was speculated to replace PAS in the opposition pact once it was officially established on Sept 14.
Abdul Hadi also praised PAS members who did not sulk but had continued to stay loyal to the party despite 'not being nominated or elected in the party polls or not getting any project and logging contract'.
"Anyone who just wants to act, Allah will know that he is just an actor and he will be chased out when he least expected it, along with all his supporting actors," he added.
