The Election Commission (EC) will hold a special meeting this Friday to discuss and set dates for the Kuala Kangsar and Sungai Besar by-elections.

The EC is expected to set the dates for the nomination day, early voting and election date for the two Parliamentary seats.

In a statement today, the EC said the meeting will be chaired by its chairman Datuk Seri Mohd Hashim Abdullah.

The two seats fell vacant following the death of Datuk Wan Mohamad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad and Datuk Noriah Kasnon who died in the helicopter crash on May 5 in Sebuyau, Sarawak.
