The redelineation proposed by the Election Commission would favor the Barisan Nasional, alleges PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar.
She said the proposal is unfair for the Pakatan Harapan and PAS.
"The redelineation is like giving the Barisan Nasional a blank cheque to win the election," she said in her speech at the Pakatan Harapan's first convention here today.
On Sept 14, the EC announced a plan to carry out a review of the redelineation of electoral boundaries for parliamentary and state seats in the peninsula and Sabah beginning Thursday.
EC secretary Datuk Abdul Ghani Salleh said the review would be conducted based on the provisions of Clause (2) Article 113 of the Federal Constitution and amendments to Clause (2) Article 14 of the Sabah State Constitution, which was gazetted on Aug 18.
However, the EC has dismissed allegations that the redelineation of electoral boundaries in peninsular Malaysia and Sabah favoured certain quarters.
Meanwhile, Nurul Izzah who is also the Lembah Pantai member of Parliament said the opposition pact is committed to lead after they accepted the call from former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to work together.
She said Dr Mahahir's meet with former Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is a prove of the openness of the Pakatan Harapan.
"If a former dictator can shake hand with his number one enemy, then the people will have no reason not to go out to vote," he said adding that five million Malaysians are yet to register as voters.
She said political parties in the country must take note of the fact that almost 45 percent of young people in America did not go out to vote in the recently concluded US presidential election. Political analysts say this is one reason Donald Trump won.
