'Former prime minister jealous of the success achieved by Malaysia' - Tengku Adnan
TENGKU ADNAN: They often criticise the Prime Minister. He said all sorts of things, so now our economy is affected, as is the currency.
UMNO Secretary General, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said there are certain quarters including the former prime minister who is jealous of the success achieved by Malaysia today.
According to online portal mStar, although it had not specifically mentioned the name of the former prime minister, the statement seemed to refer to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who often criticises the administration of Prime Minister, datuk Seri Najib Razak.
“They often criticise the Prime Minister. He said all sorts of things, so now our economy is affected, as is the currency. He did all sorts of things stating that he is not confident,” said Tengku Adnan today.
He described it as somewhat deriving from greed and also for failing to achieve personal goals.
“There are those who want to become the prime Minister (PM) but are unable to be the PM. There are those who have been the PM who may be jealous of the success achieved today and many more,” he said.
Tengku Adnan said that the country could be destroyed if arrogance takes over one’s self.
