The song that insulted UMNO leaders and the party is believed to have been spread on the internet first in 2007 but it became viral on the social website three days ago.
Four police reports were lodged today urging for immediate legal action to be taken regarding the song that insulted UMNO leaders and the party which has become viral on the social websites.
The police reports were lodged by the Merbok UMNO Youth movement, Merbok Puteri UMNO division, Belia 4B for the Merbok Parliamentary constituency, and the Merbok Parliamentary Sports and Recreation Club at the Kuala Muda district police eadquarters this afternoon.
Kedah UMNO Youth chief Datuk Shaiful Hazizy Zainol Abidin, who is also the Merbok UMNO Youth chief, said the song was believed to have been spread on the internet first in 2007 but it became viral on the social website three days ago.
"That's why we are lodging a police report today on the rudeness of a group of musicians who have changed the lyrics of the song with words that insult UMNO," he told reporters after lodging the report.
Shaiful Hazizy said the move by him and other colleagues in making the police reports was based on their sense of responsibility in protecting and defending the party from slanders and unhealthy elements.
