GE14: Puteri UMNO has identified candidates list in every state - Mas Ermieyati

She said the list would be submitted to all UMNO state liaison chairmen before being decided by the party's top leadership.

"In the 13th General Election (GE13) there were nine Puteri candidates who succeeded in being elected as either a member of parliament or state assemblymen. So we expect that number to increase in GE14.

"The presence and contribution of young women in UMNO is undeniable. So we hope UMNO leadership can show its appreciation by fielding more Puteri candidates in the upcoming GE14," she told reporters after the launch of Puteri UMNO Caring Squad by Titiwangsa Member of Parliament who is also Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani.

She added that Puteri Caring Squad was the movement''s efforts to win over the public and to ensure Barisan Nasional (BN) to retain victory in GE14.

Meanwhile, Johari said in the GE14, BN aspires to win more than half of the 13 parliamentary seats in the Federal Territory, including Putrajaya and Labuan.
