KUALA LUMPUR: Caretaker Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob was seen leaving the main gates of Istana Negara around 4.15 pm, after he met with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
However, the purpose of the meeting was unclear whether it was regarding the administration of the nation as caretaker PM or the formation of a new government.
The media has so far failed to get a response from Ismail Sabri as his car swiftly left the National Palace.
At the moment, media are still gathered at both gate entrances of Istana Negara to follow closely on the latest developments on the formation of a new government post 15th general election (GE15).
Previously, Ismail Sabri who is the Bera member of Parliament (MP) was seen entering the National Palace around 2.45 pm.
Earlier today, the King had consented for the formation of government and appointment of a new Prime Minister is to be postponed to 2.00 pm on Tuesday.
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong also urged Malaysians to remain calm and patient until the process of the formation of a new government, as well as the appointment of the 10th Prime Minister is complete.
In the meantime, the country's administration runs as usual under the purview of caretaker Prime Minister.
