"I'm not interested in pickingfightwith (Barisan Nasional) component party members...let's just do our job," says Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He also described the continuous criticisms made by MCA on his statement concerning the efforts to help the Malays, Bumiputera and Mara, as 'not good' in for the current political situation.

He said as BN component party members, they should stay together and any dissatisfaction should be discussedina Cabinet meeting.

"We are component members, don't take our family matters out...let just settle it in the house...component members need not attack each other...that is not good," he said in response to MCA Public Service and Complaints Bureau chairman Jason Teoh Sew Hock's remark which described his (Ismail Sabri) statement on Chinese school as ridiculous.

The minister was met after attending the get-together event with Federal Village Security and Development Committee chairmen and agencies under the ministry in Penang here on Saturday.

Ismail Sabri, who is also UMNO Supreme Council member, said he purposely brought up the MCA Youth chief Chong Sin Woon's remark about Chinese school with the sole intention to have his statement be described as ridiculous in return.

"I was waiting for it...that was exactly my intention to have him said that my statement was ridiculous, so that he would understand that when he called meracistwhen I said Mara was established to develop Malay entrepreneurs, that was ridiculous too...it's the same.

"He was appointed as Deputy Education Minister to be in charge of Chinese schools, so of course he would speak about Chinese schools. But he should understand that I was appointed as a minister in charge of Mara which was established to help and to develop Malay and Bumiputera entrepreneurs. If he said I'm racist, he was being ridiculous too," he said.

Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri said he was shockedwiththe action taken by two Sarawak United Peoples' Party (SUPP) leaders who lodged a police report against him following his proposal to have Low Yat Plaza 2 at Mara building in Kuala Lumpur to provide space especially for Malay traders.

"That is new tome...sonow we cannot utter the word 'Malay' or mention effort to develop Malay entrepreneurs because somebody will simply lodge a police report," he said.
