'I will try to establish an administration which is not aligned to any party' - Tun M

Interim Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad hopes to establish a government with no ties to any political parties.

Dr Mahathir said during a 'live' broadcast special announcement stating that his decision was important to ensure that the country's well-being and national interest are of top priorities.

"Politicians and political parties place too much emphasis on politics to the point that they forget that the country is facing economic and health safety issues.

"In my opinion, right or wrong, politics and political parties have to be put aside for now. If I am permitted, I will try to establish an administration which is not aligned to any party. The only priority would be national interest," Dr Mahathir added.

This is first appearance after his last public address during the Pakatan Harapan Presidential Council Meeting, last Friday.
