Jerlun UMNO Youth lodges report over Facebook threat
THREATENED: Facebook user "Padi Jantn" posted threats to shoot Mukhriz and Syed Unan.
The Jerlun UMNO Youth movement has lodged a police report against a Facebook social web account holder by the name of "Padi Jantn" over its postings on threats to shoot Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir and the Sultan of Kedah's private secretary, Datuk Syed Unan Mashri Syed Abdullah.
Its leader, Ahmad Azhar Abdullah, when met by reporters after lodging the police report, said immediate action should be taken against the owner of the Facebook account concerned as a lesson to others.
He lodged the report at the Kubang Pasu district police station.
He was accompanied by Kota Siputeh assemblyman Datuk Abu Hasan Sarif and about 30 Jerlun UMNO Youth members.
