Johor state reps summoned to meet Sultan
All 56 State Legislative Members of Johor are summoned to appear before the Sultan of Johor
Fifty-six Johor State Legislative assemblyman (ADUN) have been summoned to appear before the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar on Wednesday at 2pm in the afternoon.
Bersatu President of Johor, Mazlan Bujang when contacted, has clarified to have received an invitation to the meeting with the Sultan.
“It is correct, but I am unable attend due to other commitment, I was made to understand that many others aren’t able to as well due to the short notice.” He said when being contacted by Astro AWANI here, today.
PKR Johor vice-president, Jimmy Puah Wee Tse also confirmed the matter however have made no further comments.
The media has been informed that the meeting which took place in Sultan Ibrahim Building in Bukit Timbalan was to seek a solution regarding the formation of a new state government.
On Tuesday, the President of Public Relations UMNO Johor, Datuk Hasni Mohammed claimed to have reached an agreement with BN, Pas, PKR, AMANAH and Bersatu.
However, Amanah Johor President, Aminolhuda Hassan stated the statement was just a form of provocation to further split the Harapan coalition.
He also added, nine of the State Legislative members of AMANAH in Johor has signed a sworn admission to stay in Pakatan Harapan.
The distribution of seats at the moment consists of UMNO (14), DAP (14), BERSATU (11), AMANAH (nine), PKR (five), MIC (two) and Pas (one).
