The public is urged not to make groundless speculation or provocative comments over the current political crisis in Kedah, especially in the social media.
Kedah Police chief, Datuk Zamri Yahya, said no party should do anything that can provoke fights, such as treacherous and sabotageous acts in relation to the political crisis affecting the position of Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir.
All parties, including supporters of the particular leader, should remain calm to give the opportunity to the leadership of the political parties and related parties to resolve the crisis at hand, he told a press conference at the Kedah police headquarters here today.
He was referring to the incident where nails were discovered scattered on the road to the main entrance to the Darul Aman Stadium here where a friendly football match was held last night.
"So far no arrests have been made and we are still looking for the persons or individual who committed the act," said Zamri.
