Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman has repeated his call on Barisan Nasional (BN) elected representatives in the state to always go to the ground and to keep working hard as preparations to face the challenges in the 14th general election (GE14).
Musa repeated the call when asked on the speculations that the current state assembly sitting would be the last being held before the GE14.
"Actually, I personally do not know when it (GE14) will be held. I'll leave it to the media to speculate. If there's no speculation, it will be boring.
"But, we will keep working hard as if the general election will be held tomorrow.
"What's important is that we continue giving best service to the people and I hope that all the programmes that we have planned will be implemented without delay, so that the people will be able to benefit from it," he told reporters after attending the state assembly sitting here today.
On the current state assembly sitting, Musa said he was satisfied with the participation of all assemblymen, including the opposition's in the debate on the motion of thanks on Sabah Governor Tun Juhar Mahiruddin's speech at the sitting, which began last Monday.
"We, in the state government, are open to discussions and suggestions on any efforts that will benefit the people and the state," he said.
On the Corruption Free Pledge (IBR) taken and signed by Sabah Cabinet today, Musa said it was in line with the government's commitment to transparency and integrity.
"We must have high integrity to ensure that all our plans will run smoothly.
"Corruption is detrimental to the people and the state," he added.
