Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) deputy president, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said it was up to the Kelantan government to act over the issue of its political appointees in the PAS-ruled state resigning from their positions in the state's administration.
This followed PKR's decision on May 16 instructing all the party's political appointees in the Kelantan state government to quit immediately from their positions after PAS terminated their "tahaluf siyasi" or political cooperation with PKR.
"I have never interfered with the Kelantan state government's administration and I believe this matter (resignation) can be resolved amicably between the state government and the Kelantan PKR leadership," he said after the handing-out of house keys under the Smart-Rental Scheme, here, today.
PAS secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan had prior to this, reportedly stated that the party gave full freedom to the PKR representatives to resign from their positions or continue to serve in the state''s administration.
He said it was entirely up to them although the PKR political bureau at its meeting, had instructed them to step down.
