Kelantan MB tables hudud, UMNO state assemblymen throw support
Kelantan MB Datuk Ahmad Yakob tabled the amendments to the Shariah Criminal Code Enactment II 1993 at the Kelantan state assembly today.
Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob today tabled the amendments to the Shariah Criminal Code Enactment II 1993 at the Kelantan state assembly meeting.
The bill was tabled by Ahmad at 11am and was supported by Barisan Nasional state assemblymen.
However, the debate on the amendments was postponed to Thursday morning.
According to Ahmad, the enactment only applies on Muslims of 18-years and above who commit offences in Kelantan.
In his speech, Ahmad said the hudud laws will not be enforced on non-Muslims.
