Kelantan UMNO to meet youth to explain on current issues
He said young people have been fed with the wrong information because they have been following news portals that are prejudice against UMNO.
Kelantan UMNO will go down to the grassroots level to counter the negative perception propagated by the opposition.
State UMNO Liaison Committee chairman Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said the youth had not been getting enough information on the government's aspiration, which led them to believe the wrong information being disseminated, especially on social media.
"There are things that they (young people) don't understand. It's clear to us that they have been fed with the wrong information because they have been following news portals that are prejudice against UMNO.
"We will go to the universities and states to reach out and give explanation to the people," he told reporters after opening the Kelantan UMNO Convention here Saturday.
Also present at the convention attended by about 2,500 UMNO members were UMNO Information chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa and UMNO Supreme Council member Senator Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki. -- Bernama
